Getting the dates right.
The poster only shows what you enter. Nothing is filled in for you, because only you know your finishers' calendars.
Work back from your finishers
Ask each finisher for their last holiday drop-off date, then give yourself a few days to collect pieces and ship them. Stockings and pillows usually need more time than ornaments, so they often get earlier dates.
Post more than once
Post the feed version when you set the dates, then share the story again a week before the first cutoff. Put the plain text in your newsletter and tape a printed copy by the register.
Keep a list of what comes in
Every piece that comes in needs a name, a phone number and a promised date. A shared spreadsheet works. So does a clipboard, until December.
Finishing season, without the drawer of tickets. We track special orders and finishing for needlepoint shops, so every piece out at the finisher has a name and a date on it.
